Preparation

Wear whatever is comfortable and appropriate for the weather forecast. Padded cycling shorts will make the ride more comfortable. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable. We recommend long sleeves in case there are bushes beside the trail.

You will be sent a kit list when you make your booking. We will provide a helmet when you hire the bike. You should bring a lightweight waterproof jacket, warm jumper, and water bottle. You will need a packed lunch and some snacks in case you get hungry. We recommend you wear trail shoes or sturdy trainers when riding. Remember sun cream and your camera. You may wish to bring a change of clothes for after the ride.

The best ride for you will depend on your experience, fitness and what you would like to see during the ride. We can help advise on the routes available. We can also design a bespoke itinerary for your requirements. If in doubt get in touch and we can advise.

This depends on which ride you would like to do. Our rides are aimed at normal, recreational riders – not elite athletes. The details for  each ride will give you a clear idea of the distance, ascent and time involved. Get in touch if you need any advice.

We have both full-suspension and hardtail Mountain Bikes from brands like Giant, Cube, Specialized Vitus and Pyga. All our bikes are maintained and serviced to a high-standard. Please get in touch if you would like more detailed specifications.
